After a year spend indoors, we all have come to realized if our homes are comfortable and well furnished and well equipped to keeps us happy. Last year I woke up every day, running around trying to make studying on zoom comfortable and more private. Tried to cook without making too much noise, and tried to entertain little ones without using electronics. Buying groceries on timely manner, so I didn’t have to wait for milk for 4 days, and manage to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, dictated by school and meeting hours.
Going outdoors became a necessary chore. Our eyes needed a break, we needed a break from each other, and we needed fresh air for our physical and mental health. Our backyard turned into a playground, and front yard was private enough to set up chairs for reading, and snacking outdoors.
I was happy to notice that I had the basics to make our home a playground, a school, an office, and my kitchen equipped to cook and bake, without delays or extra stress.
My believe in creating a home based on the most important fact “ Invest In Things That Make Us Happy & Comfortable” became more obvious. A manageable garden, with flower pots that can be moved indoors, a living room with soft large pillows for napping and playing game boards on the floor. A kitchen ready to prepare and store large platters for snacks, and movie night cheese trays. A patio and a porch for little ones to play, learn gardening, and pick flowers, with comfortable chairs and small tables to hold books, and a bubble machine.
I learned more, and was much more aware of my families comfort and productivity, but what was interesting to learn was the fact that when staying together meant staying healthy, keeping each other happy became an easy task.
