In our pursuit of happiness, throughout our lives, we face many ups and downs. We experience joy and God forbid misery. As we go through turbulent times, what keeps us buoyant is, our traits and virtues. Among all virtues, resiliency gives us the ability to bounce back. We can naturally be resilient, but what if we learn to be more resilient and develop habits and life practices that not only help us to survive but to come back stronger and better than before. Maybe the essence of happiness is to be more resilient because unlike a simple, fairy tale like happiness, resiliency takes into the account the certainty of tough times and gives us the strength to endure and recover.
We are thinking of all the people who are facing hurricane Irma and recovering from Harvey. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all. We wish them resiliency.
