September issue is Vogue’s 125th birthday collection edition.
The 774 page issue opens up with a 4 page fold out from vintage covers going back to the year 1942 . Vogue has always been a source of inspiration for us.
Enjoying, and appreciating photographs by :
Annie Leibovitz,
Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Sorrenti,
Steven Meisel, we have been able to create our own creative ventures. Vogue’s 125th issue has proven to us their remarkable place in our world.
Cheers to you Vogue for another 125 years.

Last year we noticed mostly whites, creams and beiges dominating the design world, but this year’s color is bold, rich and exciting. Benjamin Moore calls it ” shadow” a rich, deep amethyst. Matched with their colors:
Spring Valley, Cotton Tail, and Truffle

Today I received Crate&Barrel’s Fall furniture catalog. It is always nice to flip through the pages and see what the new trends are. As an enthusiast and a fan of the store, I want to like their collection but in the last couple of seasons every image of their product is dark and overly serious.
In contrast their sister company CB2, has taken a different approach and offers a collection of home furnishing that is both fun and sophisticated.
This may be an intentional approach by the parent company Otto GmbH, so they can offer products that appeal to a wide range of tastes.
If you are the creative type take a look at both company’s websites, I think you will enjoy the visit.
