Add flavor without the excess sugar, salt, or fat

Oh we do love them, but sometimes we can replace our condiments without giving up flavor. Here are some of the most popular:

Ketchup is made with puréed, cooked tomatoes, spices and seasonings. Look for low-sodium and low-sugar versions.
BBQ sauce is made from combining ketchup, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Don’t pick the ones with brown sugar or honey. They have too much sugar.
Yellow mustard is made with mustard seeds, vinegar and seasonings, honey mustard variety has too much sugar and fat.
Salsa is made with fresh veggies, fruits,herbs and spices, so it is one of the better low cal condiments, so Use it as a dip, on a baked potato or as a marinade for fish or chicken.
Soy sauce is made from fermented soy beans, roasted grains, water and a lot of salt. Look for the low sodium varieties.
