Fall Candle Centerpiece🍁
Let’s say “yes” to cabbage soup🙌

Before you say oh no way cabbage😏let me tell you when you cook it with the right ingredients it is delicious😊in the fall you need the goodness of this beautiful vegetable in some salad or soup. I pulled out the crockpot and sliced half a red cabbage. Added chopped carrots, cilantro, bell pepper, celery, any type of beans, a can of chopped tomatoes, chicken broth, or beef broth. I had some chicken sausage which was more sweet than spicy so I made the soup sweet and tangy. At the very end, I mixed raw sugar and balsamic vinegar added to the pot and let it simmer before serving it. I hope you give cabbage a try this fall & winter season🥰
Am I Going Extinct 😳
This morning I mentioned to my daughter that I have just uploaded a video on houseresortYouTube channel about : what to wear and be comfortable when you are gardening. When she casually looked at me and said “Mommy who’s going to watch that? nobody works in their garden anymore, you’re the only one who still does it ”!!! First I was surprised by her reaction, but then I realized she was saying something that I already knew. When I am out in the garden trying to make a video of something I am working on I have to stop to let the blowers and the lawnmowers calm down before I can continue with my videos. I rather have birds chirping in the background of my videos than a lawnmower. Sometimes I just sit next to my work waiting for few minutes for natural sounds to take over before I continue.

There are many hobbies that we pick up to enjoy our interests. Writing, reading, walking, fishing, and gardening, are some that my friends and family do to relax and keep the world around them in slow motion. Gardening is my favorite hobby, and photography is an important part of my everyday gardening. I start my season in early spring and I work at keeping my plants and flowers healthy until the first cold day, usually late fall. To be safe & comfortable is very important to me, and makes being outdoors a lot more enjoyable, and the long days less eventful.

Coming across snakes, angry birds, and bees is too common, and even though it does provide a great chance for an interesting nature video, it also keeps me on my toes 😳. Gardners like me depend on comfortable, protective clothes when we are out and about, and to have a hat, gloves, and a cell phone close by makes life less painful and gardening more enjoyable. If you would like to watch the video on what I recommend to wear working in the garden please go to the link below, and leave your comments, and suggestions. I will be happy to receive them. Maybe then I can tell my daughter I am not going extinct👩🏻🌾

Natural Easter Egg Dyes

it is very simple to use natural dyes to color Easter eggs. This year I included turmeric and red cabbage to dye Easter eggs for the Easter egg hunt, for the Easter basket, and just to have it on the lunch table as a little gift that everyone can take home.
The process was very easy. First boiling eggs, then boiling cabbage, mixing turmeric to warm water, boiling red onion skin, and beet juice using canned beets. One thing that I learned from this whole process is to keep the eggs in the dyes for different periods to get different shades. Different greens, different blues, different reds. Mix different color eggs putting them in different dyes to get greens and deep Purple eggs. This was an easy family project that we all enjoyed, and our Easter eggs are unique, natural, and beautiful. Please watch the entire video on how to use nature dyes to color eggs👇

Watch me decorate for the holiday season🎄

When we picked up our Christmas tree, I also picked up an arm full of clippings. I wanted to use them in decorating my mail box, the living room and the dining room. Also Adding trimmings ( Faux red berries, and pinecones) that I had saved from last year’s Christmas wreaths. I thought they would add texture, color, and dimension to the all green clippings.
I put on my garden gloves, since I was getting sap all over my hands, and started layering the branches. Included smaller branches to cover some empty spots, and added pinecones and the berries in between the greens. Later I add another layer of Christmas ball ornaments and a string of lights.
Just to see different looks, later I added poinsettia plants, my small decorative Christmas trees, and just making it colorful, bright, and sparkly I also added mercury candle holders in silver, gold, and green.

All together 5 looks for a very warm, colorful, holiday season decor. you can watch my video on how I put together everything on the fireplace mantle and my dining buffet table. Easy Decorating For Fall

it’s always fun to change the look and feel of our house as the seasons change, especially when the cold season is right around the corner. I always plan on making some subtle changes. today I used some of my colorful, cozy and warm Accent pillows to change the look of the living room, the sitting room, and the kitchen. As the weather gets colder we spend more time indoors, and it is nice to have soft blankets, fury pillows, for those moments when we are ready to sit, and relax.
