If you like the outdoors⛰

Traveling has its ups and downs, especially if you’re traveling with your family, I know this as a fact. One of my most favorite places to travel with my family, keeping in mind everyone’s favorite activities, is traveling to Santa Fe New Mexico. A place with great food, gorgeous views, beautiful weather, and entertainment. Almost every weekend in summer time there is a market specializing in Spanish art, Indian art, and contemporary arts. Plus having the choice to visit more than 100 galleries on Canyon Road and shopping for southwestern jewelry, made and designed by Native Americans. There is also hiking the beautiful Aspen Vista, and many more trails, only a few miles from Santa Fe plaza.

This beautiful city is easy to visit with family and little ones, since many hotels and restaurants are accommodating to families, and pets. Please remember when you are in Santa Fe, eat without restrictions, hike with plenty of water, and be open to spending money on art that you will cherish for a life time.

Fresh look with homegrown Flowers
I like having flowers in my house and most of all, flowers from my garden. Cut flowers are expensive, and usually have a short life, but having a few flowering plants, and a creative touch, can help in putting together beautiful flower arrangements. I am always so happy when I put together small vases, by arranging herbs, and blooms for every room in the house. From early spring to early summer, I pick and choose from Purple pansies, star jasmine, primrose, daisies, gardenias, dahlia, and mums in the garden. Something different every few weeks. I can’t Waite for more blooms popping their heads out this summer season, so I can enjoy fuller, and more colorful arrangements.

3 Reasons To Shop For Makeup At Target 👀🌱💲
We live in the world of information, and have easy access to any information we desire. If I read about a place, an author, even a spice that I am not familiar with, I am googling for information right away. When it comes to shopping, comparing prices is easy, without having to sacrifice quality.
As consumers we have access to many sources, local and international, and retailers are aware that the quality, design, and pricing of their products are consistently being reviewed and talked about in social media.
I consider myself well aware of my needs and my families needs, and bargain shopping is what I am good at, for almost everything from plants, food, clothing, and other everyday wants & needs. I don’t sacrifice quality when I cook, or when I buy makeup or anything we use on our skin, even if I have to read pages of information on its ingredients.
This brings me to my 3 reasons for shopping from Target. 1- A large collection.
2- Clean ( less preservative) makeup
3- pricing
Makeup is of course not a necessity, but most of us like me, use it daily, and love to have an up to date, trendy collection to choose from. Target has a great makeup collection that covers every age, every skin type, and every skin color. They even have how to videos on their site, on how to use “the new and trendy makeup”.

Storing sweaters

I am putting away my sweaters, and if we have another cold front coming through I am planning to wrap a dawn comforter around myself. I need the space and sweaters take too much room in my closet.
As you know with natural fibers, cashmere and wool, folding is better than hanging. Sweaters keep their shape better and seams don’t come apart when they are folded. Even more so with hand knit sweaters. To keep sweaters in perfect condition you need a dry space with a good air circulation, that way any bugs interested in spending a nice warm summer in your closet, they won’t think twice about cozying up to your beautiful cashmere and wool sweaters.
I have a system that has worked for me for years, and every fall when I look forward to putting my sweaters back on a shelf in my closet, I am always happy to see find them in a great condition. To store them I use a 100% cotton, queen or king size pillow case, and before storing them I wash my sweaters in cold water, and completely dry them.

Not giving up on lavender plants🪴

One of the main rules of gardening is to know your zone for planting. Meaning, you won’t waste your money and hard physical work of digging, planting, fertilizing for the wrong plant. Sometimes as most of you might know a perennial plant such as lavenders might not survive the winter freeze and become an annual.

This is my dilemma with lavender plants. They need more attention and no additional watering since we already have too much rain, but when they finally spread their roots and get situated they are beautiful and full of buds the entire summer season. One of my absolute favorite plants, and I take every advantage when they bloom. I take videos, photos and collect lavender buds in sachets for my dresser drawers, also gifts to my family members. I love their color, shape and their heavenly clean, calming scent.

This year I decided to plant a circle of lavender plants around a bird bath close to my other gardens. Creating a focal point and a more designated area that I can pay more attention to and protect in winter time. So this past weekend I found a beautiful bird bath, and I am starting plans to remove the grass and creat a round garden.

In few days another trip to the garden center to purchase lavender plants. I am thinking a hardier variety called “Lavender Phenomenal”. Stay tuned🌸👍
A visit to the garden center
So many beautiful plants to choose from. I always wish for a bigger garden, until I realize I only have two arms, and maybe a few weeks of good weather to be out doors for planting.
I hope you get the chance to do some gardening soon. It is always a great way to look forward to some nice weather, beautiful planters full of flowers, and a garden buzzing with bees.☀️
Happy Easter everyone🐇

Easter Table Center Piece 🐇🥚🌷

All Fresh flowers: tulips, baby’s breaths, and a dogwood branch. I used small glass vases with water to keep all the flowers fresh. Placed all the alabaster eggs and hard boiled eggs, in a pedestal cake stand, in the center. Eggs were boiled with red onion skin.
